I just came back from Kausalya's b-day party and i wish she would have another.
How fun. There were only a few of us. About 8 girls and 4 boys. Plus, uncle, auntie and her grandparents who i dearly wish i had.
They were so nice and loving. Especially her grandfather. He was quiet but he fed her a bit off cake and kissed her. Something i wish i could remember doing with my grandpa. I only remember sharing fried banana crackers with him. Even now, they don't taste the same.
Crap. Tears in my eyes.
I don't envy my friends about anything, except how awesomely close they are with their extended families.
I wish i could have something like that. To have people to dance crazily with, to have grandparents who dearly cared and would visit.
I guess now, my friends will be my extended family.
*Ignore above part. Too emotional.*
Neways *wipes tears*
We had a blast. I came early and the b-day girl came like 8+. Now it's almost 12.20am. I just got back.
It doesn't feel like enough. I still wanna improve my house-burning dancing. I sucked. Well no, but i felt awkward since most of them were indian songs and im not familiar with them.
To those people who think indian songs are those traditional ones, THEY'RE NOT!
They are super fun. Their techno, bass, club beats were so addicting. And i even heard some that sounded like rock. SOOOO AWESOME!
I especially liked the guys dancing (don't tell them that).
We had a dance off. I didn't even realise till i was in the middle of it.
The girls (us) even with 10 minutes quick rehearsal couldn't get it right.
The guys. They never even practiced and their improvision was spot on. Gurbir lead them. Very good dancer. He did some dikir barat move where he sat crossed legged and like glided towards us. He could move his body to the beat so quick, his chest moves are mind-boggling too.
I need to remember to catch that move if i see him dancing again, and post it on Youtube.
The guys could quickly realise what he was doing and follow suit.
What can i say, guys...HAHAH...*inner joke*
They are all so funnny and fun. Everyone was having fun.
The girls shook their hips. And no one minded in the least. The guys got super close (not in a perverted way) to the girls and the parents just laughed.
Unlike say, Malay functions. ALL boring or over the top. No medium. They're either stiffs or wanna-be's.
Yea, i'm prejudice but tell me if a malay girl would be allowed to invite boys over without the parents blowing their top. And even if they could, would they be allowed to dance with the boy without some frowing upon? I say not...
I wonder if the girls would do something like this for me.
I think they would but how they'll pull it off i dunno since i'm hard to fool.
It's no fun if you have to pretend to be surprised.
PARTY!
Zurich
love..
