What A Week ;]

It's been a hectic week.

Well I think so.

Sleeping late and walking up early everyday is what I've been doing.

It is a good thing I stopped school early.

Because omg..

The things we have to look for.
The time we spent in APIIT figuring everything out is soo.. phew.

On Monday alone we went to APIIT to settle everything, buy the books and were shown our classes. We were there for 4 hours? Without breakfast :( Haha.
I'm kinda intimidated by my class but we'll see on Monday when I actually start.
Maybe they're shy? Pfft..
I wish I was a Form 1. They are AMAZINGLY friendly. And funny :)
I hope Shafique can make some good friends. Hoping that for myself too :[

The rest of the week was spent going out to find school stuff like extra stationary and new school shoes. They wear black shoes in APIIT.
My pencil case is seriously under-stocked.
If I were still in SMKKK this wouldn't be much of a worry. There's always a friend willing to lend you something :D

Me and Hazeem have already gotten our shoes. It was super quick.
Went to Mid Valley and entered Bata. Dad was actually looking for Shafique at first because his size 13 feet are difficult to accommodate :P
But after being told that they don't carry size 13, dad turned to me and handed the shoe he was looking at. I tried my size and voila! I found my school shoes. Hazeem was about the same.

Why I love my shoes:
They're black (duh).
They're a cool design (in my opinion).
They don't look bulky like my white school Nike's.
They give me an extra bit of height. :P

Haha. Yea, I'm kinda sensitive about my height.
Why?
Try having a giant for a younger brother and constantly having to hear short jokes. Pfft.

Oh, funny thing. On the way in the shop I saw some black Nike shoes and my mum was "We're not getting you Nike anymore." meaning she didn't really want to get me anymore expensive school shoes. She wanted to get me some black canvas shoes. I didn't mind.
But in the end, dad handed me the black Reebok shoes and they both agreed to it. Hehe..
Away went mom's idea for canvas shoes. :P

I can see you people looking and thinking that I'm some spoilt rich kid. I'm not.
I hardly buy shoes ok? I love them like any other girl but I don't sulk everytime mum says no when I see cool flats or killer heels (which is practically EVERYTIME ok?).

School shoes are a necessity.
Why not buy something that lasts?
I'll be wearing those shoes for 4 years at least. It's because they don't look so much like school shoes that I can wear them out and about.

Anyway, going to APIIT means tons of luxuries are out of the question now.
I don't deny it. My family is well-off. But we're not well-off enough to drop money like it grows on trees.

I don't go out with friends a lot either.
And when I do, in my own way, I'm a scrooge.
When I do go out it's usually because I haven't seen my friends in ages. When I saw ages, I mean ages.
It's not like a few days. It's not even a few weeks.
It's usually at least 4 months. The longest has been a year.

Ok, sorry for the lecture but I know some people have been viewing me as some kind of spoilt rich kid. I'm so fed up with that. Just because you get sent to a private school it doesn't always mean your family is rich.
It just means that your family is ready to sacrifice some things to make sure you have a good education.

Sometimes it's really daunting to have such high hopes and expectations for you.
