Anyway, went on the field trip today to Pusat Sains Negara. Translated into National Science Centre for those non-understanding-malay people :)
Cat had to call me and freak me out by saying "Azureen. The bus isn't here!"
Scared the shit outta me. I thought the bus left already.
The bus ride was okay. Watched the 1st season of Gossip Girl on Cat's iPod. I think I might get hooked :)
Hazeem the guy from my class and not Hazeem my brother was annoying me and Cat at first by asking "What movie are you watching?". REPEATEDLY.
First I answered "Hazeem Get's Killed" and he gave me the WTF look. Asked again and Cat went and said "Ok, it's Hazeem Get's Killed 2" haha.
In the end I took pity on him..and me and just told what-the-fish we were watching.
So arrived at the Science Centre and instead of being driven up to the entrance, we got left at the bottom of the hill and had to eat our breakfast of nasi lemak at the guard post. Amazing right?
When we got in we went almost-kinda-straight to the Da Vinci exhibition. First Mr.Mahen made us sit to watch a Science Show..ehh.
I saw Farah there. She's my mum's friend's daughter.
It's funny, next year she'll be part of the APIIT group instead of the Bukit Rimau group :]
The Da Vinci exhibition was pretty cool actually. I liked the fact that Da Vinci wrote everything backwards.
And we got to build a bridge just by interlocking some wooden poles. Most fascinating. I'm serious.
One thing that got me going "aiyah" in the head was all the physics-ness of some of the stuff. I only wish learning physics was as much fun as the way they laid out all Da Vinci's inventions and explained the experiments he did with them.
I really heart his paintings.
Although I didn't like some of them like 'Virgin of the Rocks' and 'St. Jerome' but it's the fact that every piece of art of his makes you have a reaction. An intellectual reaction that is.
There was one painting that I think was almost better than the Mona Lisa. It was just recently discovered last year and I think it's amazing. Simple yet the detail. Can you say L-O-V-E?
Obviously there was a huge part on the Mona Lisa and it's SO true about what they say. Her eyes really do seem to follow you. But I think it's just the genius of Leonardo who painted the shadows and light to do that.
I actually learnt alot of interesting facts. Won't post them here I guess coz I know I'm already boring you.
The rest wasn't as interesting. We took alot of pictures but they're on Yazmin's camera. Mine died -_-'
Ohh, one cool experiment is where you can see how you'd look like if you and another person's DNA were mixed together. I won't go into details coz it's more fun to do than hear about.
Like sex eh? HAHA.
Rest of the day went like:
-Indulged the girls with Giotto chocolates.
-Got into the bus and went to pick up the others from the Bird Park and Muzeum
-Watched more GG on the way back.
-All the way back Tara, Laily and Haziqah were insulting me.
-Got back and went straight to the music room to ask teacher for help.
-Learnt how to slide on the keys and hurt my thumb T-T
Etcetera etcetera :D
An epigram from Leonardo Da Vinci:
Marriage is like putting your hand into a bag full of snakes expecting to pull out an eel.
